PRT Consulting, Inc. serving as authorized agent for Airport Land Partners Limited, a Colorado limited
partnership, hereby submits and requests approval of an application for soil extraction from the Garfield
County Airport Industrial Park Complex PUD to the Garfield County Regional Airport.
The primary purpose of the soil extraction is to facilitate the upgrading of the airport runway complex to
better serve business jet traffic. This upgrading required significant earthwork some of which was found
difficult to contain within the airport property. The extent that the earthwork extends into the PUD
covers an area of only 1.8 acres. Impacts related to this work are all covered by environmental
assessments, permitting and mitigation measures undertaken for the earthwork on the airport which
impacted approximately 360 acres.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information.
