I. INTRODUCTION
A. Background
This Drainage Report has been prepared for PDC Energy's (PDC) Centralized Soil
Treatment Facility (the SITE) by Olsson Associates. This report evaluates the SITE's
historic drainage patterns, analyzes the change in stormwater quantity /quality associated
with proposed development, and provides design to alleviate the impacts of increased
stormwater runoff due to the proposed development.
This report and plans are designed to bring the SITE into compliance with the COGCC rule
stating,
"Surface water diversion structures, including, but not limited to berms and ditches, shall be
constructed to accommodate a one hundred (100) year, twenty -four (24) hour event. The
facility shall be designed and constructed with a run -on control system to prevent flow onto
the facility during peak discharge and a run -off control system to contain the water volume
from a twenty -five (25) year, twenty -four (24) hour storm."
The design of proposed structures and associated recommendations presented herein are
intended to satisfy SITE - specific storm water regulations of the COGCC.
B. Project Location
The SITE is located in Section 25, Township 6 South, Range 95 West of the Sixth Principal
Meridian, County of Garfield, State of Colorado. Refer to Figure 1 for project location.
The SITE is approximately halfway between Rifle and Parachute, southwest of the Ruilson
exit, on the north side of 1 -70.

C. Property Description
The southwest to northeast diagonal boundary of the SITE is an existing underground
pipeline. Parallel to that off -site are an existing overhead power line, another underground
pipeline, and a dirt "two- track" roadway. The property line on the west is the west line of
Section 24. The property line on the north is the north line of the SW1 /4 of section 25.
D. Previous Investigations
To our knowledge, no previous drainage studies have been approved for the SITE.
II. DRAINAGE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
A. Existing Drainage Conditions
The SITE drains to the Colorado River on the south side of 1 -70 via swales and culverts
under the highway. Refer to the General Location Map in Appendix A for the SITE location
relative to major tributary drainage ways.
The existing SITE consists of natural swales and mountainous terrain. The SITE generally
slopes from northeast to the southwest with slopes varying from 2% up to 15 %. The existing
ground cover is primarily bare ground. The soils in the drainage area belong to the
Hydrologic Soils Group B, soil that is moderately drained and has a moderate runoff
potential. The Hydrologic Soils Map is in the Appendix A.
The SITE consists of a total area of approximately 9.5 acres which includes five existing
drainage swales; A, B, C, D, E. Stormwater appears to sheet -flow across the SITE to
existing swales (refer to Figure 2, Existing SITE) exiting the SITE un- detained.

B. Master Drainage Plan
To our knowledge, no master drainage studies have analyzed the SITE.
C. Offsite Tributary Area
For the purposes of this study, all adjacent land was assumed to remain undeveloped in the
foreseeable future. The area north of the SITE currently contributes to the flow in the 5
swales. This area is approximately 14.9 acres of undisturbed land. (To be known as Basin
OS1).
D. Proposed Drainage System Description
The proposed drainage system was designed to divert existing off -site flows around the
SITE in historic swales and flow patterns and to capture and contain all rainfall within the
SITE. All flow from the off -site area that historically contributes to Swale A (refer to Figure 2,
Existing SITE) will continue via a diversion channel along the north and west edges of the
SITE. This swale will be sized to convey the 100 -year runoff from Basin OS1. All flow that
contributes to Swale E will continue to do so and Swale E will not be affected by the
proposed development.
Swales B, C, and D will be eliminated by SITE grading. New channels will be graded into
the proposed SITE to convey flow to a retention pond at the southwest corner of the SITE.
The channels will be directed under the access roadway through corrugated metal pipe
culverts.
Refer to Sheets A -1 through A -3 in Appendix A for basin delineations and proposed
drainage system layout.
Basin OS1 is north of the SITE. Stormwater generated on this basin will sheet -flow from
northeast to southwest and into a diversion swale that will carry the runoff around the SITE
and discharge to open ground southwest of the SITE.
Basin P1 is the northwestern most portion of the SITE. Stormwater generated on this basin
will sheet -flow from northeast to southwest into a channel along the west side of the basin.
Basin P2 flows from the north to south directly into the retention pond. For calculations, the
pond is also included in basin P2.
Basin P3 sheet flows to the south where it is collected in a channel along the retention pond
access roadway.
Basin P4 includes the west portion of the main access roadway (crowned) along with some
minimal flow from the west.
Basin P5 includes the east portion of the main access roadway (crowned) along with
additional stormwater from the east.
Basin P6 is the furthest northeast section of the SITE. Stormwater generated on this basin

will sheet -flow from northeast to southwest into a channel along the south side of the basin.
The Retention Pond at Design Point 2 is located at the southwest corner of the SITE. The
pond was sized to hold the runoff from the 25 -year, 24 -hour storm event, and has a volume
of 1.34 acre -feet at elevation 5193.0. The pond bottom is at elevation 5185.0. The
embankment height is 8 feet to maximize available volume without becoming a jurisdictional
retention pond.
E. Drainage Facility Maintenance
The owner shall be responsible for maintaining all on -site drainage facilities. The pond
bottom should be scraped and re- graded at least every 1 -3 years to remove sediment build-
up. In addition, the pond should be pumped and examined after any significant rainfall event
to ensure proper functionality.
During construction, run -off from the SITE should be treated prior to leaving the SITE using
methods described in Volume 3 of the Urban Strom Drainage Criteria Manual, including use
of straw bales and /or other methods to provide temporary water quality.
III. DRAINAGE ANALYSIS AND DESIGN CRITERIA
A. Regulations
This report has been prepared in accordance with common engineering practices and the
Mesa County /City of Grand Junction Stormwater Management Manual.
B. Development Criteria
There are no known constraints placed on the SITE due to floodplain studies, master
studies or adjacent property drainage studies. The SITE will not receive any tributary flows
from upstream land or adjacent development after development.
C. Hydrologic Criteria
Hydrologic calculations have been prepared in accordance with common engineering
practices. Refer to Appendix B for all hydrologic calculations.
D. Hydraulic Criteria
Hydraulic calculations have been prepared in accordance with common engineering
practices and the Mesa County /City of Grand Junction Stormwater Management Manual.
Refer to Appendix C for all hydraulic calculations.
IV. POST - CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

The proposed riprap lined drainage swales will provide a means for stormwater to be routed
around and through the SITE during all post- construction storm events. In this manner,
stormwater quality control measures will not be needed because developed run -off rates are
equivalent to existing condition run -off rates with little change in impervious area.
B. Calculations
Refer to Appendix B for developed condition hydrologic calculations.
V. CONCLUSIONS
A. Compliance
This report has been prepared in accordance with common engineering practices and the
Mesa County /City of Grand Junction Stormwater Management Manual.
B. Design Effectiveness
Proper implementation of the proposed measures outlined in this report will alleviate the
direct impacts of stormwater run -off on adjacent, downstream lands.
C. Areas in Flood Hazard Zone
The SITE is not within a FEMA- designated flood hazard zone and is designated as Zone D.

Description
Hydrologic soil groups are based on estimates of runoff potential. Soils are
assigned to one of four groups according to the rate of water infiltration when the
soils are not protected by vegetation, are thoroughly wet, and receive precipitation
from long- duration storms.
The soils in the United States are assigned to four groups (A, B, C, and D) and
three dual classes (A /D, B /D, and C /D). The groups are defined as follows:
Group A. Soils having a high infiltration rate (low runoff potential) when thoroughly
wet. These consist mainly of deep, well drained to excessively drained sands or
gravelly sands. These soils have a high rate of water transmission.
Group B. Soils having a moderate infiltration rate when thoroughly wet. These
consist chiefly of moderately deep or deep, moderately well drained or well drained
soils that have moderately fine texture to moderately coarse texture. These soils
have a moderate rate of water transmission.
Group C. Soils having a slow infiltration rate when thoroughly wet. These consist
chiefly of soils having a layer that impedes the downward movement of water or
soils of moderately fine texture or fine texture. These soils have a slow rate of water
transmission.
Group D. Soils having a very slow infiltration rate (high runoff potential) when
thoroughly wet. These consist chiefly of clays that have a high shrink -swell
potential, soils that have a high water table, soils that have a claypan or clay layer
at or near the surface, and soils that are shallow over nearly impervious material.
These soils have a very slow rate of water transmission.
If a soil is assigned to a dual hydrologic group (ND, B /D, or C /D), the first letter is
for drained areas and the second is for undrained areas. Only the soils that in their
natural condition are in group D are assigned to dual classes.

GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL WORK WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY AND /OR EASEMENT AND ALL ON -SITE UTILITY WORK SHALL
CONFORM TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGN CRITERIA FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS OF GARFIELD COUNTY AND THE GRANTOR OF THE EASEMENT.
2. ALL MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE LATEST STANDARDS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNING AGENCY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE IN HIS
POSSESSION AT ALL TIMES (1) SIGNED COPY OF THE PLANS, STANDARDS, AND SPECIFICATIONS AS
APPROVED BY THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNING AGENCY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN WRITTEN
APPROVAL FOR ANY VARIANCE TO THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS.
3 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN, AT HIS OWN EXPENSE, ALL APPLICABLE CODES, LICENSES,
STANDARDS, PERMITS, BONDS, ETC. WHICH ARE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE PROPOSED WORK.
4 THE EXISTING UTILITY LOCATIONS SHOWN ON THE PLANS ARE APPROXIMATE AND MAY NOT INCLUDE ALL
LINES PRESENT. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CALLING THE UTILITY NOTIFICATION
CENTER OF COLORADO AT 1- 800 - 922 -1987 AND COORDINATING FIELD LOCATIONS OF EXISTING
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO BEGINNING GRADING AND UTILITY WORK.
5. LOCATIONS AND ELEVATIONS OF EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MET (OR AVOIDED) BY WORK TO BE
DONE SHALL BE CONFIRMED BY THE CONTRACTOR THROUGH FIELD EXPLORATIONS PRIOR TO
CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT TO THE ENGINEER ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN HIS
MEASUREMENTS AND THESE PLANS.
6. ANY CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS OR MUD DROPPED INTO MANHOLES, INLETS, PIPES OR TRACKED ONTO
EXISTING ROADWAYS SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
REPAIR ANY EXCAVATIONS OR PAVEMENT FAILURES CAUSED BY HIS CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL PROPERLY BARRICADE THE CONSTRUCTION SITE UNTIL CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.
7. PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE WORK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ANY WRITTEN AGREEMENTS FOR
INGRESS AND EGRESS TO THE WORK FORM ADJACENT PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS. ACCESS TO ANY
ADJACENT PRIVATE PROPERTY SHALL BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL PERMITS NOT OBTAINED BY THE OWNER
OR OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVES AND PAY ALL FEES AS REQUIRED BY THE CONSTRUCTION COVERED IN
THESE PLANS.
9. EXCEPT FOR MATERIALS DESIGNED TO BE RELOCATED ON THIS PLAN, ALL OTHER CONSTRUCTION
MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW.
10. NO WORK SHALL BE BACKFILLED (INCLUDING BEDDING MATERIAL ABOVE THE SPRING LINE OF THE PIPE)
UNTIL THE CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND APPROVED FOR BACKFILLING BY THE
APPROPRIATE GOVERNING AGENCY.
11. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS WILL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AND APPROVAL BY THE OWNER OR THE
OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE.
12. SHOP DRAWINGS AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO OWNER /ENGINEER FOR
REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF MATERIAL.
13. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
ALL ESTIMATES OF QUANTITIES ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. CONTRACTOR AND
SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING ALL QUANTITIES. CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROVIDE ALL WORK AND MATERIALS AS SHOWN ON THESE PLANS.
15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR JOB SITE SAFETY OF HIS OWN PERSONNEL, ALL
VISITORS TO THE SITE, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, TRENCH
EXCAVATION AND SHORINGS, TRAFFIC CONTROL, AND SECURITY NOT LIMITED TO NORMAL WORKING
HOURS.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING ALL EXISTING FEATURES TO REMAIN THAT
ARE DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES TO EQUAL OR BETTER CONDITION, AT HIS OWN
EXPENSE.
17. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE INSTALLATION OF ALL SITE IMPROVEMENTS (INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED T0: UTILITIES, STRUCTURES, PAVING, LANDSCAPING, ETC.) SUCH THAT NO DAMAGE IS DONE TO
SITE IMPROVEMENTS (I.E.: SAWCUTTING NEW PAVEMENT). SITE IMPROVEMENTS DAMAGED DURING
CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER AT NO
ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
18. IF, DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS, CONDITIONS ARE ENCOUNTERED WHICH COULD INDICATE THAT
A PRIOR UNIDENTIFIED SITUATION W PRESENT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE ENGINEER
IMMEDIATELY.
19. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL DEBRIS RESULTING FROM WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT TO A
LEGAL DUMP SITE.
20. DIMENSIONS SHOWN ON THE PLANS ARE TO FACE OF CURB LINE IN CURBED AREA AND EXTERIOR FACE
OF BUILDING, AND TO CENTERLINE OF UTILITIES, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
21. USE ONLY DIMENSIONS PROVIDED ON THESE PLANS. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. INFORM ENGINEER OF
ANY DISCREPANCIES AND /OR MISSING INFORMATION.
22. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING ACCESS TO ADJACENT PARCELS DURING
ALL HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE BUSINESSES LOCATED ON THOSE PARCELS.
23. CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN TEMPORARY POWER, TELEPHONE AND WATER FOR THE SITE.

7. TOPSOIL SHALL BE STOCKPILED WITHIN LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION FOR USE ON AREAS TO BE
RE- VEGETATED. ANY AND ALL STOCKPILES SHALL BE PLACED IN AN APPROVED LOCATION AND
PROTECTED FROM EROSIVE ELEMENTS USING MEASURES SPECIFIED IN THE EROSION CONTROL PLAN.
8. SOILS THAT WILL BE STOCKPILED FOR MORE THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS SHALL BE MULCHED AND SEEDED
WITH A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GRASS COVER WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF STOCKPILE
CONSTRUCTION.
9. ANY SETTLEMENT OR SOIL ACCUMULATIONS BEYOND THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION DUE TO GRADING OR
EROSION SHALL BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD
RESPONSIBLE FOR REMEDIATION OF ANY ADVERSE IMPACTS TO ADJACENT WATERWAYS, WETLANDS,
PROPERTIES, ETC. RESULTING FROM WORK DONE AS PART OF THIS PROJECT.
10. A WATER SOURCE MUST BE AVAILABLE ON SITE DURING EARTHWORK OPERATIONS AND UTILIZED AS
REQUIRED TO MINIMIZE DUST FROM EARTHWORK EQUIPMENT AND WIND.
11. THE CONTRACTOR MUST KEEP ALL POLLUTANTS, INCLUDING SEDIMENT, CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, AND
TRENCH BACKFILL MATERIALS FROM ENTERING THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM.
12. ALL SPILLS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED T0, PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, SOLVENTS, AND CEMENT SHALL BE
CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY. GARFIELD COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL LOADS OF CUT AND FILL MATERIAL IMPORTED TO OR
EXPORTED FROM THE SITE SHALL BE PROPERLY COVERED TO PREVENT LOSS OF THE MATERIAL DURING
TRANSPORT ON PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL MATERIAL EXPORTED FROM THE SITE, IS DISPOSED OF AT A
SITE PERMITTED TO ACCEPT SUCH MATERIAL.
15. THE USE OF REPAR, STEEL STAKES OR STEEL FENCE POSTS FOR STAKING DOWN STRAW OR HAY
BALES, OR TO SUPPORT SILT FENCING USED AS AN EROSION CONTROL MEASURE, IS PROHIBITED.
16. THE CLEANING OF CONCRETE DELIVERY TRUCK CHUTES IS RESTRICTED TO APPROVED LOCATIONS ON
THE JOB SITE. THE DISCHARGE OF WATER CONTAINING WASTE CEMENT TO THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM IS
PROHIBITED. ALL CONCRETE WASTE SHALL BE PROPERLY CLEANED UP AND DISPOSED OF AT AN
APPROPRIATE LOCATION.
17. PRIOR TO ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF EXISTING

EXISTING ROADWAYS SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
REPAIR ANY EXCAVATIONS OR PAVEMENT FAILURES CAUSED BY HIS CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL PROPERLY BARRICADE THE CONSTRUCTION SITE UNTIL CONSTRUCTION I5 COMPLETE.
7. PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE WORK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ANY WRITTEN AGREEMENTS FOR
INGRESS AND EGRESS TO THE WORK FORM ADJACENT PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS. ACCESS TO ANY
ADJACENT PRIVATE PROPERTY SHALL BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL PERMITS NOT OBTAINED BY THE OWNER
OR OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVES AND PAY ALL FEES AS REQUIRED BY THE CONSTRUCTION COVERED IN
THESE PLANS.
9. EXCEPT FOR MATERIALS DESIGNED TO BE RELOCATED ON THIS PLAN, ALL OTHER CONSTRUCTION
MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW.
10. NO WORK SHALL BE BACKFILLED (INCLUDING BEDDING MATERIAL ABOVE THE SPRING LINE OF THE PIPE)

COMMENCE WORK ON THIS SITE ONLY AFTER AN ACTIVE PERMIT NUMBER HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM
THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL EROSION /SEDIMENTATION CONTROLS PRIOR TO ANY SITE PREPARATION
WORK (E.G., CLEARING, GRUBBING, OR EXCAVATION).
3. THE PLACEMENT OF EROSION /SEDIMENTATION CONTROLS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN PREPARED FOR THE PROJECT BY THE CONTRACTOR.
4. CONTRACTOR TO ADJUST EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AS NEEDED FOR VARIOUS PHASES OF WORK.
5. CONTRACTOR TO ENSURE THAT NO DIRT AND SEDIMENT IS TRACKED ONTO ADJACENT ROADWAYS AND
WATERWAYS.
6. APPROVED EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL "BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES" (BMPS) SHALL BE
MAINTAINED AND KEPT IN GOOD REPAIR FOR THE DURATION OF THIS PROJECT. AT A MINIMUM, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL BMPS EVERY 14 DAYS, AND AFTER ALL SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION
EVENTS I.E. RAINFALL, SNOWMELT. ALL NECESSARY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR ACTIVITIES SHALL BE
COMPLETED WITHIN TWENTY -FOUR (24) HOURS AFTER DIRECTION BY THE INSPECTOR. ACCUMULATED
SEDIMENT AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED WEEKLY FROM ALL BMPS, OR AT ANY TIME
THAT SEDIMENT OR CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS ADVERSELY IMPACTS THE FUNCTIONING OF THE BMPS.
7. TOPSOIL SHALL BE STOCKPILED WITHIN LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION FOR USE ON AREAS TO BE
RE- VEGETATED. ANY AND ALL STOCKPILES SHALL BE PLACED IN AN APPROVED LOCATION AND
PROTECTED FROM EROSIVE ELEMENTS USING MEASURES SHOWN ON THE PLAN AND PROFILE SHEETS.
8. SOILS THAT WILL BE STOCKPILED FOR MORE THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS SHALL BE MULCHED AND SEEDED
WITH A TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT GRASS COVER WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF STOCKPILE
CONSTRUCTION.
9. ANY SETTLEMENT OR SOIL ACCUMULATIONS BEYOND THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUC11ON DUE TO GRADING OR
EROSION SHALL BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD
RESPONSIBLE FOR REMEDIATION OF ANY ADVERSE IMPACTS TO ADJACENT WATERWAYS, WETLANDS,
PROPERTIES, ETC. RESULTING FROM WORK DONE AS PART OF THIS PROJECT.
10. A WATER SOURCE MUST BE AVAILABLE ON SITE DURING EARTHWORK OPERATIONS AND UTILIZED AS
REQUIRED TO MINIMIZE DUST FROM EARTHWORK EQUIPMENT AND WIND.
11. THE CONTRACTOR MUST KEEP ALL POLLUTANTS, INCLUDING SEDIMENT, CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, AND
TRENCH BACKFILL MATERIALS FROM ENTERING THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM AND ADJACENT WATERWAYS.
12. ALL SPILLS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, SOLVENTS, AND CEMENT SHALL BE
CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY. GARFIELD COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL LOADS OF CUT AND FILL MATERIAL IMPORTED TO OR
EXPORTED FROM THE SITE SHALL BE PROPERLY COVERED TO PREVENT LOSS OF THE MATERIAL DURING
TRANSPORT ON PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL MATERIAL EXPORTED FROM THE SITE, IS DISPOSED OF AT A
SITE PERMITTED TO ACCEPT SUCH MATERIAL.
15. THE USE OF REBAR, STEEL STAKES OR STEEL FENCE POSTS FOR STAKING DOWN STRAW OR HAY
BALES, OR TO SUPPORT SILT FENCING USED AS AN EROSION CONTROL MEASURE, IS PROHIBITED.
16. THE CLEANING OF CONCRETE DELIVERY TRUCK CHUTES IS RESTRICTED TO APPROVED LOCATIONS ON
THE JOB SITE. THE DISCHARGE OF WATER CONTAINING WASTE CEMENT TO THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM
OR ADJACENT WATERWAYS IS PROHIBITED. ALL CONCRETE WASTE SHALL BE PROPERLY CLEANED UP
AND DISPOSED OF AT AN APPROPRIATE LOCATION.
17. PRIOR TO ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF EXISTING
UTIUTIES. FOR INFORMATION, CONTACT THE UTILITY NOTIFICATION CENTER OF COLORADO AT
1- 800 - 922 -1987.
18. CONTRACTOR TO FILE "NOTICE OF TERMINATION" WITH CDPHE ONCE PROJECT IS COMPLETE AND ALL
