On my way west on HWY 6 & 24 I was able to observe the remodel taking place there because the roll up door was open. The owuer was not on site but a carpenter there ( no name given) informed me that they removed some walls and the bathroom and that he thought that they did not need a permit because the owuer told him he did not need one. I informed him that the work that was being performed would indeed require a permit. I left my card and stop work order on site. It is a commercial building. I have also attached pics and made an Energov file STW 4-11-2007. I would recommend providing all your intended uses and proposed layout to your architect. We will review the plans for compliance with: Use & occupancy, occupancy separation, travel distance and exiting, accessibility per IBC chapter 34,11, and ANSI A 117.1-2003, (parking, signage, accessible route, toilet rooms), light and ventilation and any other pertinent requirements. Please have your architect provide the requested information as outlined on the commercial building permit checklist. We would be willing to arrange a pre-submittal meeting with you and your architect if desired. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
