BALCOMs DELANEY & BALGOMB ATTORNEYS AT LAW DRAWER 790 GLrn WOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO 81601 April 10, 1979 Mr. Ray Baldwin, Planner Garfield County Department of Planning 2014 Blake Avenue Glenwood. Springs, CO 81601 Dear Ray: APR1 818 COLORADO AVENUE TELEPHONE 945 -6546 AREA CODE 303 If you will recall, some time ago you attended a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Basalt Water Conservancy District. There you suggested that it would be wise for our District to contact the Garfield County Commissioners and describe for their benefit the District's intentions as they relate to providing a legal water supply to residents of the Roaring Fork Valley and Missouri Heights in Garfield County. The President of the Board has appointed a committee composed of the two Garfield County Directors - -- Jim Nieslanik and Randy Randall, and myself, for this purpose. I believe Jim and Randy's schedules to be fairly flexible. On this basis, it is my hope that you can get us on the agenda at some future date and advise us in the near future what the time and date of our meeting will be. Needless to say, our intentions are to fully explain to the Commissioners our plans and actions as they relate to the providing of the water supply under the auspices of the Basalt Project. We can be prepared with visual display materials as you might think necessary. Please advise. Very truly yours, DELANEY ANDiLCOMB By SB:pc cc: Jim Nieslanik Randy Randall Scott Balcomb
