The foundation for the platform to support a 24' diameter yurt was constructed completed. The yurt floor joists had not yet been installed. The platform was built in accordance with the attached plans provided by the yurt supplier for a 27' diameter yurt. The footings are "bigfoot" type footings 28" in diameter per detail 1 on sheet 3. To provide frost protection, the bottom of the footing is more than 36" below grade, in most cases 42" below grade. The deck beam bears on a standoff base on top of the 10" diameter sonotube. There is more than 12" from the bottom of the beam to ground and over 18" from the bottom of joists to ground. The construction appears to be in accordance with the attached drawings. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
