Jim,
Upon review at the site of B and C Development, it was observed that we had an area that the footing and foundation
needed to be modified to accommodate the existing condition. The area in question was determined to be in need of:
2 #5 bars top and bottom of the foundation
Vertical bars/ties at 9" o.c.
Hooked bars into adjacent wall
2 #5 diagonal 'slash bars', tieing the wall together
Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
Respectfully,
Brad Jordan

Jim,
As requested, attached is the excavation observation report from HP Geotech. The second to last paragraph addresses
the brownish clayey soils encountered in the garage footing area. As recommended, we widened the footings in these
areas by 12" overall, to accommodate the 1000 psf bearing capacity noted in this paragraph.
We will provide a detail and notations pertaining to the foundation wall connection, to the footings at the entry step, prior
to or at the next inspection.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Respectfully submitted,
Brad Jordan
Architect
