I am writing regarding the Grand Valley Historical Society Conditional Use Permit.
We had a hearing on Monday, August 11, 2008 in whic h the Conditional Use Permit was
hea rd.
I have attached a copy of the staff report that you presented that day. The cond iti ons
noted on page 8 of this report were the conditions approved by the Board of County
Commissioners.
As we agreed upon , there are a number of conditions that were required to be met prior to
the issuance of the Conditiona l Use Permit by Garfield County.
Please find these items detailed below and attached.
Condition 3-"The Applicant shall submit a site plan or updated improveme nt s survey
that correctly indicates the parking area for visitors to the property . This plan wi ll
include ADA requirements for parking, access and the path to the Glover Cab in shall be
incorporated into the site plan and the ADA portions of the plan shall be constructed prior
to the is suance of the Conditiona l Use Permit. The site plan sha ll also reflect utility
easements and County road right-of-way locations on the property. This upd ated s ite
plan shall be submitted prior to the is s uance of the Conditional Us e Permit."
Status:
A. The handicapped access ibl e parking spaces were con structed in the Fall o f 2008
and were reviewed and approved by the Building Department.
Submittals:
A. Con st ruction Surveys, Inc. "Handicapped Accessible Walkway and Glover
Cabin -Layout and Grading Plan and Profile-Sheet s J through 3 sealed 5/18/09.
A stamped set of de s ign drawings are attached for your review and approval for

the sidewalk to serve the Glover Cabin.
B. Construction Surveys, Inc.-Land Survey Plat sealed 11/24/08. This work has
been conducted by a Colorado PLS utilizing a title commitment.
C. Site Parking and Landscaping Plan prepared by the Grand Valley Historical
Society. This is prepared on the Construction Surveys Improvement Survey
document and is noted in red marking.
Staff Report Page 5, paragraph 5, last sentence.
Gain written approval of the site plan and landscaping plan from the Colorado Historical
Society.
Submittal:
A. 12/5/08 Letter from the State Historical Fund agreeing to the request for
parking spaces and the sidewalk.
Condition 4-Weeds on the site shall be brought into compliance with Garfield County
Weed Management Plan of 2000.
Submittal:
A. Grand Valley Historical Society Weed Management Plan
