Inspections were conducted by this firm on August 20 (Backfill & Compaction), to establish
the following criteria:
The Contractor prepared the soils adjacent to the Southeast portion of the foundation
walls to receive an additional foundation system for the "prow" and exterior deck. The
Contractor had leveled the sub -grade surface, backfilled with Horizon B soils, and
mechanically compacted the soils to accept the concrete perimeter foundation system,
with verbal design modifications to reflect the height of the new foundation wall.
The integrity of the subsurface soils and compaction meet the parameters and
requirements of the Garfield County Building Department, IBC Chapter 18.
