Dear Commissioners:
I am an owner of property zoned A/R/RD located at 6471 Road 117
Four Mile Road), and am requesting a zone district text amendment
to section 3 . 02 . 02 to add as a conditional use "boarding or
rooming house".
I would also like you to consider amending the fee schedule for a
permit for a Boarding and Rooming House to $75.00 which would be
in line with the fee now charged for Home Occupation.
Enclosed is a check for $150.00 to cover the fee for the above
text amendment.

Your application for a text amendment to the A/R/RD zone district,
section 3.02.02 to allow for a "boarding or rooming house" has been
scheduled for a public hearing before the Board of County Commissioners
on October 5, 1987 at 10:00 A.M., in the Commissioners' Meeting Room,
Suite 301, Garfield County Courthouse, 109 8th St., Glenwood Springs,
CO 81601. It is suggested that you be represented at the time of the
hearing.
A copy of the enclosed public notice form has been submitted to the
Glenwood Post for publication one time 30 days prior to the public
hearing. You should contact the Glenwood Post directly, regarding
obtaining the proof of publication and billing. A copy of the
proof of publication must be submitted to the Planning Department
at or prior to the public hearing.
In addition, your application will be reviewed by the Planning
Commission on September 9, 1987 at 7:30 P.M., also in the Commissioners'
Meeting Room. No public notice is required for the meeting before
the Planning Commission. Once again it is recommended that you be
present.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Take Notice that John M. Traul has applied to the Board of County
Commissioners, Garfield County, State of Colorado, to request a zone
district text amendment to the Garfield County Zoning Resolution of 1978,
as amended. The proposed zone district text amendment is the following:
3.02.02 Uses, Conditional
Add "Boarding or Rooming House"
All persons affected by the proposed zone district text amendment are
invited to appear and state their views, protests or objections. If you
cannot appear personally at such hearing, then you are urged to state your
views by letter, particularly if you have objections to such zone district
text amendment, as the Board of County Commissioners will give
consideration to the comments of affected property owners, and others
affected, in deciding whether to grant or deny the request for the zone
district text amendment. This zone district text change application may
be reviewed at the office of the Planning Department, located at 109 8th
Street, Suite 303, Garfield County Courthouse, Glenwood Springs, Colorado
between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
The public hearing on the application for the above zone district text
amendment has been scheduled for the 5th day of October, 1987, at the hour
of 10:00 A.M., in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, 109 8th Street, Suite
301, Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
