Garage Roof Framing The specified pre-engineered truss system for the garage framing can be modified and replaced with (2) 1 3/4" x 11 7/8" Microllams spaced at a maximum spacing of 24" on -center. The ridge plate/spline shall be a (2) 2x12. Splices in the (2) 2x12 shall be offset by a minimum of 3'-0". The (2) 1 3/4" x 11 7/8" Microllams shall be attached to the ridge with a Simpson LSSU410 slope hanger or approved equivalent. The rafter shall be attached to the wall top plate as originally designed. A 1 3/4" x 9 1/4" Microllam shall be installed at the rafter bearing point on top of the wall top plate and shall span approximately 26'-0" between rafter ends. The Microllam'collar tie' shall be attached to the rafter with (3) Timberlok fasters. Rear Porch Framing The specified 10x10 DF posts can be 'notched' to allow the inset of the cross C -Channel beams to a width that will 'sandwich' the 6x6 DF posts, approximately 5 1/2" in width.
