Lyons Lumber Mill-
white River Electric Association was contacted June 19, l9B4
by Mr. Ray Lyons in regard to the availability of electric service
approximately 7 miles north of Rifle, CO. I told Mr' Lyons that
single phase service only is avail-able at that point with some
restrictions in the amount of capacity that the existing line will
provide. Mr. Lyons didn't have a problem with what I told him and
said that he woul-d work with us.
It might be important for you to know that White River Electric
is providing service in that area through a written agreement with
P.S.CO. They can at any time they wish, buy our existing facilities
and continue to serve those consumers.

Re: Lyons Sawmill Special tse Eermit,
Dear Keith:
I would like to rotify you that Mr. tyons, who has atrplied for a Special
Use Permit for a sanrmill in Garfield @unty, wiII not request a charge in
r.ell use or a teflporary exchange Program.
Mr. Lyons has determined that, it will be easier for hirn to hold the
existirg weII permit, for use in the mobile honre on1y. He will haul in the
water he needs for dust control purposes. We have piaced a cordition on
the Resolution of Approval that, states ttrat water shall be hauled to the
site for Exrrposes of dust control and/or any other irdustrial uses. The
existirg r,lreJ-l shall only be used for uses associated with the mobile tsne
office ard sha1l be restricted by the limitations as set forth by the
oivision of Water Resources on the existing raell permit.
I spoke with Orlin BeIl from our IrcaI Division of Water Resources office
ard he irdicataed ttrat if the rtell is not to be used for purposes other
than what the existing permit allows then no additional approval frorn you
will be necessary.
Itrank you for your help ard inforrnat, ion on this project. If there are any
further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact ne.
Sircerely,
