Box 4121 Basalt, Colorado 81621 (970) 333-1043 (c) 05/02/2014 Garfield County Building and Planning Department RE: Chante Pejuta Storage Building - Permit #2984 Addendum #1 Dear Sir or Madam, Please find attached (2) copies of Addendum #1 to the contract drawings for the Chante Pejuta Storage Building located at 2701 CR 100, Carbondale, CO 81623. The changes to the documents include the addition of a canopy over the west facing door, a revised equipment layout and section for the equipment room, and the addition of a bathroom off the storage room. In regard to the new bathroom, the existing permit allows for the toilet and vanity, but not the proposed shower. We understand that approval of an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) for the property would be required for the approval of the shower. The owner is currently in the process of obtaining that approval. However, since construction of the new bath facilities will require demolition of the existing concrete slab, we would like to proceed with rough -in plumbing for all the fixtures now, and in the unlikely event that the ADU is not approved, the shower will be removed. Please let us know if we can proceed with construction of the proposed bathroom with the shower. Chante Pejuta Storage Building Those present: Tom Rubin / Rubin Construction Craig Biere / Albright & Associates On site March 27, 2014 for final framing observation. All framing is complete and appears to be per plan with the following exceptions: Item 1: An awning roof was added on the west side of the building which was not shown on the plans. -See sheet C2.1, C2.3 and C2.4 for required modifications to the in place structure, Item 2: The double top plates were extended into the side of the heavy timber beams instead of the king studs. This prevents the king stud from overlapping as high on the sides of the beam as originally shown in detail 7/53.1. This condition is acceptable and I have included C2.2 which shows the in place condition.
