Application j-s hereby made for the issuance of a Special Use Permit to permitthe extraction and processing of natural resources by the establishment of agravel washing plant and a concrete batch p1ant. The pertinent information whichis to accompany this request is as follows:

of Colorado Stare Highway 82.
ExrsrrNc OPEMTT0NS 0N PROPERTY: For a number of years now, prior tothe enactment of the Garfield County Zoning Ordinances, an operat.i-onfor the extraction of sand and gravel has existed on the property.This use is stil1 taking place as a pre-existing use of the property.
I"IATER, SEWAGE AND urrlrrrES: No sewage or waste problem will bein.roi@ the batch plant or washing plant. wash-ing of gravel has taken place on the property in past years as apre-existing use. There is a well situated at the site which haspreviously been used for the washing operations and will be used for
both the washi-ng operatioJJrand the concrete batch prant. An enclosed
concrete settling pond:Efeet long, 16 feet wide, and 6 feet deep,will be constructed on the property to store and recycle water used
1n the operati-ons and to put a mi-nimum demand on the well water.
