'!he contractor shall confine his activities and equipment within the limits of the pit. '.Ihese limits will be so marked prior to construction operations. '!he permittee shall take every reasonable measure to minimize erosion and soil damage in connection with any operation under this contract. '.lhe permittee shall immediately discontinue all operations under this contract upon receipt of written notice from the Authorized Qfrice that due to weather conditions such operation will cause excessive damage to the watershed. '[he permittee shall take every reasonable precaution to not pollute or obstruct any stream, stream channel, lake, reservoir, or marsh on or near the contract area in connection with any operation under this contract. If the permittee's operations under this contract cause the pollution or obstruction of any stream, stream channel, lake, reservoir, or marsh on or near the contract area, the permittee shall correct the condition to the satisfaction of the Authorized Officer. 'l.'he permittee shall take every reasonable measure to rehabilitate and restore surfaces disturbed in connection with any operations under this contract, including but not limited to seeding, planting, and restoration of natural contours, in accordance with a rehabilitation and restoration plan approved by the Authorized Officer. '!he permittee shall reseed all disturbed surface areas with a mixture of western wheatgrass, crested Wheatgrass and strea.mbank wheatgrass at the rate of 2 pounds each per acre. '!he purchaser shall, to the satisfaction of the Authorized Officer, clean up landings and areas where equipment has been operated or repaired and shall remove or otherwise dispose of all garbage, trash, litter, temporary buildings, or other refuse resulting from the purchaser's operations, including fuel containers, oil cans, and discarded equipment or parts thereof. After completion of all operations within the limits of the Pit the ~partment will require the contractor to leave the entire area in a neat condition. Final cleaning up and protection and Restoration of property and Landscape as described in the standard SPecification book, section 104.o6 and section 107.12 will also be applicable in their entirety. If the permittee's operations under this contract cause the pollution or obstruction of any stream, stream channel, lake, reservoir, or marsh on or near the contract ar~a, the permittee shall correct the condition to the satisfaction of the Authorized Officer. 4. The permittee shall notify the Authorized Officer of the date he plans to begin operations on the contract area the first time and when operations are completed. 5. The permi ttee shall take every reasonable measure to rehabilitate and restore surfaces disturbed in connection with any operations unde r th i s contract , incl u ding but not limited to seeding, pl.anting, and restoratio n of natural contours , in accordance with a rehabilitation and restoration plan approved by the Authorized Officer.
