Meeting Room, Garfield County Courthouse, in Glenwood Springs on Monday, the list of September, A.D. 1998, then: were present: Marian Smith , Commissioner Chairman John Martin Commissioner Larry McCown , Commissioner ponDsford , County Attorney Mildred Alsdorf , Clerk of the Board Ed Green , County Administrator when the following proceedings, among others were had and done, to -wit: RESOLUTION NO. 98-84 A RESOLUTION CONCERNED WITH THE APPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR JOSEPH & VELMA WEINREIS AND JIM SILLS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, has received application from JOSEPH & VELMA WEINREIS AND JIM SILLS for a Conditional Use permit for aboat, RV and mini -storage units in the Agricultural/Residential/Rural Density Zone District on the following described tract of land: See Attached (in the State of Colorado and the County of Garfield); and WHEREAS, the Board held a public meeting on the 3rd clay of August, 1998, upon the question of whether the above-described Conditional Use Permit should be granted or denied, at which meeting the public and interested persons were given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the issuance of said Conditional Use Permit; and WHEREAS, the Board on the basis of substantial competent evidence produced at the aforementioned meeting, has made the following determination of fact: r_ 11 111111111111111111111111111111111111r, 111111111111 532671 09/23/199$ 01 44P 61689 P900 M RLSOORF 2 of 5 R 0.00 0 0.00 GRRFIELO COUNTY CO 1. That the meeting before the Board of County Commissioners was extensive and complete, that ail pert went facts, matters and issues were submitted and that all interested parties were heard at that meeting. 2. That the application is ui comp lance with the Garfield County Zoning Resolution of 1978, as amended 3. For the above stated and other reasons, the proposed use is in the best interest of the health, safety, morals, convenie ice, order, prosperity and welfare of the citizens of Garfield County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, that the Conditional Use Permit be and hereby is authorized permitting the use of the above described tract of land for a boat, RV storage and mini -storage units upon the following specific conditions: 1. All representations of the applicant in the application or verbally at the hearing shall be considered conditions of approval, unless approved otherwise by the Board of County Commissioners. 2. The conditional use permit shall be valid only for the buildings and site presented in the application. Any expansion of the plan shall be subject to the applicable process, at the time of the application. 3. A landscaping plan be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners, prior to any approval of the Board and the plan shall show the location and type of vegetation to be planted, along with the proposed irrigation plan. 4. A lighting plan be submitted prior to the approval of the Board, demonstrating that the lightingwill be the minimum necessary -and all lighting will be downward and inward. 5. A pre -annexation agreement with the City of Rifle be signed by all parties prior to approval by the Board of County Commissioners. 6. No outside storage will be allowed on the property.
