Verizon Wireless Minor Modification Request
Dear Brad:
This Administrative Decision is provided in response to your request to consider
a minor modification of an existing Special Use Permit. The request is in regard
to the approved Telecommunication Tower for the U.S. West New Vector Group
on a site located at 319 County Road 138, in Section 35, T5S, R9OW, Parcel No.
2123-351-00-120. The request letter and associated plans are attached to this
Director's Determination.
As provided, your proposal includes the installation of two additional omni -whip
antennas to the existing tower. The antennas will not increase the tower height
and will not result in the addition of any new structures on the site. Additional
underground cables including fiber optics will be installed and connected to the
existing equipment shelter. New equipment will also be installed within the
existing equipment shelter but will not be visible from or result in any outside
changes to the shelter. The original tower was approved pursuant to a public
hearing conducted by the Board of County Commissioners and memorialized in
Resolution No. 93-109.
This amendment request is being reviewed in accordance with Section 4-106 of
the Unified Land Use Resolution of 2008, as amended and in accordance with
Condition No. 8 of Resolution No. 93-109. The request has also been reviewed
and found to be consistent with a Departmental Policy on co -location of
telecommunication facilities dated April 18, 2008 (see attached).
Director's Determination
Your installation of two additional omni -whip antennas and related support
equipment/cables below grade and connected to or within the existing equipment
shelter is approved as a Minor Modification to an approved Land Use Change
Permit (Special Use Permit) on your existing site and tower at 319 County Road
138 subject to the following conditions/findings:

Findings:
• A finding that the request complies with Section 4-106(B)(1)(a) Review
Process and with Section 4-106(C) Review Criteria as a Minor
Modification.
Conditions:
• Continued compliance with all existing conditions of approval contained in
Resolution No. 93-109.
• Compliance with all representations contained in the Land Use Change
Permit Amendment request and associated plans.
Any further modification to your approved Land Use Change Permit will require
additional review by the County. Please contact this office if you have additional
questions or need clarification of the Director's Decision.
