Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations
Lot 9, Mountain Springs Ranch
Garfield County, Colorado
Garfield County Permit No. SEPT-5-13-2827
Louisa and Benjamin,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
on November 5, 2014 for the subject property. Walters Company installed the system.
The installation included a new 1000-gallon, two-compartment concrete Valley Precast septic tank with a
dosing siphon in the second compartment. The screen on the dosing siphon should be cleaned
annually, or as needed. The soil treatment area (STA) included four sections of subsurface drip
irrigation, each section consisting of six 66’ long laterals for a total of 3168 square feet of infiltrative area.
Laterals were installed between 24 and 30-inches in depth.
We recommend utilizing 75% of the subsurface drip system (three sections), allowing 25% of the system
(one section) to rest. The section that is turned off must be rotated annually. Either a service
provider or the homeowner must be responsible for executing, tracking, and documenting the rotation as
part of the routine maintenance for this system.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OW TS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS:
Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
