DATE: 19 January 2015 PO Box 217 435.673.6579 St. George, UT84771-0217 pcarch@infowest.com TO: Garfield County Community Development Department To whom it may concern, This letter is concerning the church facility for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that was recently construction on parcel #2407-171-17-001, 3.154 acres of the Battlement Mesa Block #3 Subdivision, by Building Permit BLCO-4-14-3167. It is our intent to provide decorative planting and re -vegetation of the church site. However, with this project being finished during the winter months, we would request that this planting and re -vegetation be allowed to happen in the spring to allow the plants and grass seed mixes to grow properly. The approved planting plan calls for a SPMX grass mix to be installed in the re -vegetation area per manufacturer's specifications. This grass mix is provided by Applewood Seed Company and their recommendations call for this to be installed in the late spring or summer months. We plan to install these plants and the re -vegetation of the site per the Amended Land Use Change Permit for the above mentioned parcel number. This was an Amendment to Resolution 2014-18 (CUPA776B) that was approved on July 10th 2014 and recorded on July 17th 2014. The narrative and drawings submitted with the Amendment indicate the building and site will be developed in two phases. The landscaping that will be installed in the spring consists of decorative plants, grass and rock mulch around the church building and parking lot entrance with native grass/flower seed mix being planted on the remainder of the site. Trees will also be planted along Sipprelle Drive. Dennis Patten, Architect P.C. Architects, Inc, P.O. I should have the commissioning letter from the mechanical engineer hopefully sometime today as he was here yesterday and inspected the HCVAC and plumbing and the HVAC system was tested and balanced by Air Pro. I have already sent you Norm's final electrical inspection. Yesterday the church facility management team met with all pertinent subcontractors for training: electrical, fire suppression, fire alarm, HVAC and plumbing. Acme alarm signed a monitoring contract with the church and will send the NFP72? letter to state electrical. It is my understanding that this document is part of the electrical final sign off according to ACME Fire Alarm as proof of monitoring. Contact information is Clint Bartels 970 625 5535 clint@acmealarm.com. I will call him and request he copy you with this info. My number is 385 223 0680 if you think of anything else you require. As soon as I see the mechanical engineer's letter I will forward it, then call for a final as we discussed so we can hopefully get the CO process complete asap.
