Installation Observations
16059 Hwy 82
Garfield County, Colorado
Paul,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation new septic tanks, a 3.0 MicroFAST(., and an
Orenco® effluent pump on July 1, 9, and 23, 2013 for the subject property. Meehan Excavation
installed the septic tanks and effluent pump. Eric Hamilton with Peak to Peak installed the 3.0
MicroFAST® system.
The installation included removing all of the existing tanks and replacing them with two 1500 -gallon,
single -compartment septic tanks and one 3000 -gallon, two-compartment tank with a 3.0
MicroFAST® system in the first compartment and a Biotubeg pump vault in the second
compartment. All tanks were made by Copeland Concrete. Special care was taken to assure the
tanks are water tight.
The tanks were set in the area near the existing mound. High groundwater levels are a result of
irrigation in the neighboring agricultural fields. Groundwater levels were just below the piping
between the tanks. The installers made assurances that no groundwater was infiltrating into the septic
tanks. A water meter was installed downstream of the pump. Readings should continue and
average daily flow should not exceed 1999 gallons per day. We recommend taking weekly water
meter readings. Keeping a record of these readings is important to accurately assess flow of
wastewater into the system. The existing mound system was not excavated or scrutinized by ALL
SERVICE septic, LLC. The new pump line was plumbed into the existing mound with some re-
grading of the slope to the south.
Two 1500 gallon, single compartment tanks. Each has inlets from trailers and effluent filters on
outlets leading to 3000 -gallon tank with MicroFAST® system.
