Please go ahead with closing the permits as suggested in your email and include this addendum. I believe the engineer for the 2nd project permit 1691 has signed off on it already and we will close out that permit as well . It does not make sense to spend money to renew these permits . If there is additional work required in the future, a new permit can be taken out to cover that work. Good luck with the pending litigation. I hope it comes out in your favor. Thanks, 1 T May 2, 2012 Jim Vidakovich 5027 Greenbush Ave Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 RE : Building Permit Number 1406 Issued 12-23-09 Jim Wilson -Building Inspector Jim: Garfield County Building & Planning Department 108 Eight Street, Suite 401 Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 In response to your letter dated 4-23-12 (copy attached), here is an update: • Both myself & my attorney have made repeated attempts to get Saul Torres & Mike Woelke-Maya Construction (Contractors on Record) & Ed Fronapfel, (Engineer of Record), to resolve the situation regarding Permit Number 1406. • Contractors & the Engineer have been negligent by refusing to take action to mitigate this situation, which is clearly their responsibility. • Here is the contact information I have for Maya Construction: Saul Torrres/Mike Woelke Maya Construction 586 Highway 133 #SO Carbondale, CO 81623 Email: Maya2005con@yahoo.com Phone: 970-948-4024 • I am also enclosing copies of all correspondence relating to my efforts to get this resolved. Please note: Ed Fronapfel (Engineer of Record), PIE (Denver, CO) is also refusing to cooperate. (Noted and documented in emails). • It is clear, that all parties named (Maya Construction -Saul Torres -Mike Woelke -and Ed Fronapfel (PIE) have been negligent in their professional responsibilities & obligations to resolve this in a timely manner. • My counsel in California has requested that you release me from any retribution and or harm that has been caused by the negligence & inaction of above mentioned Contractors, Engineer and PIE. • Understand that Mike Woelke/Maya Construction has been named in pending litigation filed by and on behalf of a group of lronbridge Homeowners (including myself) for negligence on a variety of construction & building issues. Ed Fronapfel (PIE) has been retained by the same as an expert witness. • Furthermore, I am requesting that Garfield County Building & Permits Division file an official complaint against the listed parties, in accordance with Colorado Law1 and that all parties -Contractors & Engineers -be reported to proper authorities in Colorado. • Please let me know what options Garfield County Division of Building & Permits can take to resolve this situation. • I am willing to cooperate with the County to get this resolved. As represented by this letter and attached documentation, I been diligent in trying to facilitate a resolution. It is clear that (aforementioned) contractors and engineer are acting in an irresponsible, unprofessional & negligent manner, which is the sole reason this issue has not be resolved.
