HomeMy WebLinkAboutOWTS Installation Observations 3.28.15 March 28, 2015 Project No. C1124 Filipè Santiago Schefano Sales Jr. Stylinhawaiian515@gmail.com Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations 6296 Hwy 82 Garfield County, Colorado Permit # SEPT-2-15-3533 Filipè, ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) on March 17 and March 26, 2014 for the subject property. Pifco installed the system. The existing septic tank and soil treatment area (STA) were abandoned in place. The new system installation included a 1000-gallon, three-compartment concrete septic tank with an Orenco® Biotube Pump Vault and PF3005 pump in the third compartment (1000 gallons tank capacity in the first two compartments). There is a filter in the third compartment of the septic tank that must be cleaned annually, or as needed. Effluent is pressure dosed through a 1.25-inch diameter pump line to the new STA, consisting of approximately 1-foot of ASTM 33 concrete sand under four rows of 8 ‘Quick 4’ Infiltrator® chambers, connected with a level manifold. Zip ties were used to hang 1.25-inch diameter laterals to the underside of the chambers. The 1.25-inch diameter laterals have 1/8-inch diameter orifice holes facing up (with the first and last holes facing down for drainage), 2-feet on center. The minimum 20-foot setback from the residence to the STA was not able to be maintained. See enclosed record drawing for GPS coordinates and approximate component location relative to the residence. The control panel and pump were not wired at the time of the installation observations. We must be notified once the pump has been wired to complete the installation observations. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OW TS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions.
