RE: Pursley Residence, 212 Remington
Mr. Wilson,
Neil Pursley (contractor) requested me to physically inspect the aforementioned residence and
respond to some of the concerns that you expressed, due to the fact that permits were not
issued for any of the improvements made to this residence.
I personally inspected the addition to the garage, which is uninhabitable living space (storage
only), and found that the structure was soundly built to today's present codes. All beams were
'headed' off correctly and appear to be larger members than would be required through
engineering calculations.
I also inspected the rear patio cover and have included a sheet of details. These details require
additional reinforcing to create proper connections for the extent of the patio structure.
After inspection of the front porch, it was determined that the framing was suffiaent for the
spans and spaang constructed.
