If the holes are no larger than 1" dia ., are in the center of the beams, and not at bearing points they should be okay.

Today after the framing inspection, building inspector required us to have your approval on this in order to
pass the inspection.
ISSUE : electric holes on beams
The holes are located as follow:
1.-On the basement BEAM ( 3LVL1411
). three 7/8" diameter holes: 1011
, 12" and 15" from the edge of the
post. and approximately 5 1/2 11 from the top of beam .
2.-0n the garage BEAM 3 L VL 11 7 /811 three holes 32 11
, 28 11 and 24 11 from the closer end of this beam; center
hole isl" diameter and the holes on the sides are S/811 diameter. Holes are 5 11 from the top of beam.
I am attaching one picture of each beam.
Could you please let me know if you can approve thi s or what will be your recommendation .
I am including Able Liston on this email , He is our electrician on this project.
