[gvfpd@sopris.net] Sent: Wednesday, July 27, 2005 3:33 PM To: Andy Schwaller Subject: Star Pre -Cast Andy, I got a call from Terry Kirk about the second building out at the "Town of Oil Shale, Colorado" project and the need to contact you about it's fire protection. We had talked, Terry and I, about fire protection for this building earlier and I advised him the location he planned on would be close enough to the existing cistern that it could be considered sufficient for both structures. The District is comfortable with the location and shared capacity of the existing cistern to adequately provide for initial fire protection water supply. David A. Using the testing torque determined above the 3/4" diameter A325 bolts at the main frame connections were tested for proper tightness per the AISC arbitration procedure. The bolts tested above were found to be somewhat under tightened. These bolts were then fully tightened using the testing torque, and then the bolting inspected above was found to be in compliance with the UBC, IBC, and the AISC Specification for Structural Joints Using ASTM A325 or A490 Bolts.
