Below are some further requirements for the project. 1. I did not see anywhere on the plans for fire protection water storage. The Fire District requires a minimum of 5000 gallons of water storage on commercial properties. This water is for initial fire attach by the Fire District since there is not any close fire hydrants. This water would be used in addition to the water the Fire District brings to the scene for any initial structural and/or wildland firefighting. 2. The plans state "Smoke detectors and alarm annunciator panel placed to local code". The local code is the International Fire Code, Edition 2009 (IFC,2009). 3. Upon completion of the project the building will require fire extinguishers as per IFC, 2009. 4. It is also highly recommended that a Knox Box be placed on the building by the main entrance. The Fire District has the form to send in for the Knox Box. It can be pictured up at the Fire District administrative office. The address is above on letterhead. 5. Please let the Fire District know the final address for the project once it is received. 6. The Fire District requires one copy of the Fire Alarm Submittals once they are completed. Page 1 of 2 Even with the Fire Districts review of the plans and or business it is the responsibility of the owner to make sure the building complies with the International Fire Code 2009 Edition and all possible code requirements.
