Adequate and complete information will prevent delays in the plan review process. Reviewing a plan and the discovery that required information has not been provided by the applicant may result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with building construction. The owner or contractor may be required to provide this information before the plan review may proceed. This causes delays because other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department. Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project and provide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. If you do not, it may be helpful to obtain a book titled "Dwelling Construction under the Uniform Building Code". This book is available to you through this department at our cost. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistance in your design and a construction professional for construction of your project. To provide for a more understandable plan in order to determine compliance with the building, plumbing and mechanical codes, applicants are requested to review the following checklist prior to and during design. Applicants are required to indicate appropriately and to submit the completed checklist at time of application for a permit. The pia: awece dated September 8, 2004. The reviewed drawing did not include enough detail to complete a design review. On September 16th 1 contacted Wade Moss at Enercept to get additional information Based on his supplied data, the design appears to be appropriate for the conditions. Wade provided me with the following information: The supplied ridge beam size was a 6-3/4" x 24-3/4" glued laminated beam. He did not know the grade of this beam. The supplied beam is appropriate for the project if it is of grade Douglas Fir 24F -V8! TARA lt'J fot- Wrfr r i ' - V 4- V t . Ir, v2. The lookout ridge beam toe supplied was to be (2) 16" Microlams. This is much more than is needed for the imposed loads. \I 3. The lookout cross transfer beam to be supplied was to be (2) 16" Microlams. Once again, this i5 more than sufficient. V 4. The roof panels were to be 11-7/8" thick. Each 4' wide panel have a 11-7/8" TJI member attached to each long edge. Wade did not know the grade of the Ti! member. Based on my own design review, this option is acceptable if a 11-7/8" TJVPro210 is used. 6.154%& - " The ridge beam loads were to be transferred directly through the end panels to the 14.4.41 tbundation. There was inadequate information supplied to determine the size of 4 ` embedded st members.
