I have included drawings showing the location of the proposed buildings, Union having two buildings on the parcel and Rio Blanco County having one. The Douglas Communication Site is ideal for Rio Blanco having better 911 responses and enhanced coverage for the state wide 800 DTR radio project. Union Telephone is providing a cellular communication link to the Loma and Grand Junction areas and presently in this Douglas Pass area where cellular communication is non -existing and emergency response time is unacceptable. To help solve these issues, Union Telephone Company has approval to proceed with installing cellular communications and provide a radio link for Rio Blanco County Sheriff Department for home land security. To satisfy both parties co -location needs, the tower height will be increased to 120 feet and the parcel size of a 50 feet x 50 feet will have to be increase to a 60 foot by 60 foot parcel. The increased parcel size will make room for the sheriff's electronic building and Union's generator and equipment buildings. The larger parcel also allows room for the concrete tower base. The higher tower will not require any special lighting as the lighting requirement applies to 200 foot towers. See Attached drawings. There will be no sanitary or water system needed at the site but power exists at the communication site location and will share the power with Rio Blanco County. Please review this additional information at your earliest convenience and if you have any questions, call me a 307-782-42I8 or cell no. 307-780-4218. Yours truly, 4) '.7::,\. d = .
