The following items are required by Garfield County for a final inspection:
1. A final Electrical Inspection from the Colorado State Electrical Inspector
2. Permanent address assigned by Garfield County Building Department posted where
readily visible from access road;
3. A finished roof, a lockable house, complete exterior siding, exterior doors and windows
installed, a complete kitchen with cabinets, a sink with hot & cold running water, non-
absorbent kitchen floor coverings, counter tops and finished walls, ready for stove and
refrigerator, all necessary plumbing;
4. A complete bathroom, with washbowl, tub or shower, toilet stool, hot and cold running
water, non-absorbent floors and walls finished and a privacy door;
5. All steps outside or inside over three (3) steps must have handrails, guard rails on
balconies or decks over 30" high constructed to all 1997 UBC requirements;
6. Outside grading done to where water will detour away from the building;
7. Exceptions to the outside steps, decks and grading may be made upon the demonstration
of extenuating circumstances, i.e. weather, but a Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued until
all the required items are completed and a final inspection made.
A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL ALL THE ABOVE
ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.

In order to understand the scope of the work intended under a permit application and expedite the issuance of a perm/ l is
important that complete information be prmWedAdequate and complete information will prevent delays in the pion review
procesa.Reviewing a plan and the discovery that required information has not been provided by the appicant may result in the
delay of the permit issuance and in pmceedbg wlh building construdion.The owner or contractor may be required to provide
the information before the plan review may proceed.This causes delays because other plans that are in line for review may be
given attention before the new information may be reviewed after d hes been provided to the Building Department.
Please review this document to determine If you have enough Information to design your project and provide
adequate Information to facilitate a plan review., you do not, It may be helpful to obtain a book titled "Dwelling
Construction under the Uniform Building Code. This book Is available to you through this department at our
costAlso, please consider using a design professional for assistance In your design and a construction professional
for construction of your project.
To provide for a more understandable plan in order to determine compliance with the building, plumbing and mechanical
codes, applicants are requested to review the following checklist prior to and during design. Applicants are required to
Indicate appropriately and to submit the completed checklist at time of applkatlon for a permit
Plans to be Included for a Building Permit, must be on drafting paper at least 1rxae and drawn to scale.
Plans must Include a floor plan, a concrete fooling and foundation plan. elevations a/ sides with decks, balcony. steps. hand
rails and guard rails, windows and doors, inckidkrg the finish grade line. A sedan showing in detail, Mom the bottom of the
footing to the top of the roof, Including re -bar, anchor bolts, pressure treated plates, floor Joists, wall studs and sparing,
insulation, sheeting. house -rep, (which is required), siding or any approved building material.

A floor framing plan, a roof framing plan, roof must be designed to withstand a 40 pound per square foot up to 7,000 feet in
elevation, an 80 M.P.H. windshear, wind exposure B, windloed of 15 pounds per square foot, and a 36 inch frost depth.
All sheets to be identilled by number and ndexedAll of the above requirements must be met or your plans will be returned.
Al plans submitted must be income/lance with the 1997 UBC, IARC and 1997 UPC.

Your architect John Muir made a presentation of plans for your home to be constructed
on Lot WP -08 to the Design Review Committee on the 6th of May. Receipt of your
Builders Completion deposit, CRAP fees, and tap fee for the Roaring Pork Water and
Sanitation District is hereby acknowledged. Thank you.
At this time your plans are approved for submission to Garfield County.
As the foundation plan shows the home very close to the building envelope, the Design
Review committee requests a copy of the site survey required by Garfield County be
provided for the DRC files, and to assist in the foundation inspection performed by the
DRC. Also, request is made that the boulder wall at the rear of the lot be terraced rather
than a single step as indicated on the landscape plan. Please consult with your landscape
architect as to whether this may require additional plantings on the intermediate level.
Your builders completion deposit is held in trust for you by the Homeowners
Association until your home and landscape is completed in accordance with your
approved plans. It is released to you upon the on-site final review by the Design Review
Committee when your home is completed and all matters regarding variations from
approved plans or the Design Guidelines have been addressed.
Three inspections need to occur during construction of your home by the Design
Review Committee. These will ultimately be your responsibility and bear upon release
of the Builder's Completion Deposit. Please contact the DRC Administrator at (970) 963-
4536 extension 234, upon completion of the foundation and dry -in phases of construction
and for your final on-site review by the DRC. Failure to call for any of these
inspections could result in $1000 per violation held by the Homeowners Association
from the return of your Builder's Completion Deposit. All inspections are performed
by the Committee the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. It will be necessary for your
builder to arrange reviews in accordance with the DRC's scheduled sessions.

homesite to review the Aspen Glen Construction Rules and Regulations. Please have the
builder contact me directly to arrange this meeting, Please call me with any questions you
may have about the review process during the building period. My extension is 234, at

Please keep in mind that a copy of your approved plans are kept on file for periodic
review by the Design Review Committee to assure compliance with your approved plans.
Any anticipated changes from your approved plans must be submitted to, reviewed by
and receive approval from the Design Review Committee prior to making any changes,

Report: Visually inspected the CJP welding in process at the rigid frame
moment connection welds grid line 11 on the main floor level. Visually
inspected the field welds at two beam to column bearing connections at
the main floor level. Visually inspected the plug welds at the column
base anchors at two columns foundation level.
The welding inspected above appeared to be of acceptable quality per
the requirements of the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
