Adequate and complete information will prevent delays in the plan review process. Reviewing a plan and the discovery that required information has not been provided by the applicant may result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with building construction. The owner or contractor may be required to provide this information before the plan review may proceed. This causes delays because other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department. Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project and provide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. If you do not, it may be helpful to obtain a book titled "Dwelling Construction under the Uniform Building Code". This book is available to you through this department at our cost. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistance in your design and a construction professional for construction of your project. Certification I am the Building Official for Garfield County on the western slope of Colorado. I do plan reviews for building permit applications. Usually the building prints are stamped signed and dated by the structural engineer for the structural drawings. Recently I received a set of plans without a stamp. Instead of the stamp, the contractor provided a card showing the engineer to be an active P.E. The plans where then signed by the engineer with his certification number. It all appears to be O.K. but it is not the norm. I found your web sight to hopefully confirm the engineer's certification, but did not see a way to check the registration. Several questions: 1. Is Keith Barrett Oxenreider #33283 a P.E? 2. What type of engineering did he study? And 3. Should he have a stamp? 6/18/2003 w t PLAN REVIEW CHECKLIST Applicant 6- /A • ED 3 Date 37-4yQ Building Xl.,4 Engineered Foundation Driveway Permit .--''S-urveyed Site Plan >CC' 7b 4*Lmac ✓Septic Permit and Setbacks `Grade/Topography 30% Attach Residential Plan Review List Minimum Application Questionnaire 'ubdivision Plat Notes it 4 Fire Department Review -aluation Determination/Fees Red Line Plans/Stamps/Sticker ✓attach Conditions /pplication Signed ✓Plan Reviewer To Sign Application ✓caarcel/Schedule No. 11440# Snowload Letter- Mani.
