DATE: 03 June 2014 PROJECT: Eagle Spring Organic 5454 CR 346 Silt, Colorado TO: Johnson -Carter Architectural 136 East Third Street Rifle, Colorado 81650 Attn: Mr. Rich Carter 970-625-0580v, 625-0581f 448 Will Avenue Rifle, Colorado 81650 970-625-2774 Phone 970-6254399 FAX westar@ro%net E -Mail Rich. I have inspected the cooler structure at the referenced project. The following are my observations. 1. It appears that the cooler is a wood framed structure installed inside of the existing building shell. 2. There is no wind or snow load applied to this structure, and I could not identify any collateral loads other than a few cooling units suspended from the ceiling. The only real Ioad would be the structure dead weight. 3. The ceiling appears to be supported by a steel post and beam framework inside of the cooler. 4 The wood struts attached to the existing building and the cooler could possibly be stability bracing used during erection, and never removed. The random nature and spacing of the struts do not indicate a uniform lateral bracing system layout. The cooler was stable at the time of the inspection and appears to be self-supporting. 5. There were no signs of excessive deflections or distress in the cooler structure at the time of the inspection. 6. My conclusion Is that the cooler structure is stable as presently constituted. No additional loads should be applied, and no structural modification should be made without further Investigations. If you have any questions please call. Sincerely, Stephen A. Kesler, P.E.
