We had no idea that our permit had an expiration. We have been doing the work ourselves with a little help from family members. We both work 12 hour shifts and have farm chores after work so our hours to work on the house are very limited. Spring is slowly arriving and with it are fields to harrow and fertilize and ditches to burn. These are not excuses, but for two middle aged people it gets to be quite a lot of work. All we have left to finish on the remodel is the bedroom (wallpaper, bead board, carpet and installation of ceiling fixture) the electrical in the office and bedroom, and call for our final electrical inspection then we will be ready for you to do the final inspection. I don't have an exact time frame. We are working on it as we can and we realize it has taken us a long time, but I guess we didn't realize how long it would take while working full time. We will be most grateful if you would keep our permit open allowing us to finish our project.
