Re: Supplemental Discussion to Pre -Application Water Pump and Quality Waiver Request at 24 St.
Finnbar Farm Road, Carbondale
Dear Mr. Hartmann:
Studio 6 Architects is providing this letter to request a waiver on conducting additional water pump test
done in the approved subdivision of St. Finnbar Farm for the proposed ADU.
Per the attached document, the pump test previously done in February 28, 2015 in conjunction with the
construction of the main house on the same lot shows a flow rate of 15 gallons per minute. After
consulting with Samuelson Pump Company Inc., the company commissioned for the pump test, they
have confirmed this flow rate is more than enough for the existing main house consisting of a full
kitchen and 3.5 baths, and the proposed 470 sq. ft. ADU consisting of a kitchenette and 1 full bathroom.
The proposed ADU water supply will be from the same approved well.
