R402.2 Concrete. Concrete shall have a minimum specified
compressive s trength as shown in Table R402.2. Concrete sub-
ject to weathering as indicated in Tabl e R301.2(1) s hall be ai r
e ntra in ed as s pecified in Table R402.2. The maximum weight
of fl y ash, o th e r pozzolans, s ilica fume, or s lag th at is included
in concrete mixtures for garage fl oor s la bs and for exterior
po rches, carport slabs, and s teps that will be exposed to de icing
chemicals shall not exceed the percentages of the total weight
of cementiti ous materi als spec ified in ACI 3 18. Materials used
to produce co ncre te and tes ting th ereof sha ll comply with the
applicable s ta ndards li s ted in ACI 318. In additie n to th e ce-
me nts permitted by ACI 3 18, ceme nt complying with ASTM C
1157 is permitted.
