Garfield County, Colorado Dear Mr. Jarman: WPX Energy Rocky Mountain, LLC (WPX) is planning to commence drilling on the above referenced well pad located on Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (Chevron) property in the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 5 South, Range 97 West, Garfield County, Colorado. All such drilling operations will be conducted on Chevron's property pursuant to that certain Oil and Gas lease dated June 3, 2004, between Chevron Shale Oil Company, as Lessor, and Barrett Resources Corporation, as Lessee, and that certain First Amendment to Surface Damage Agreement for the above referenced well pad dated August 1, 2010, between Chevron and Williams Production Company, LLC. Please accept this letter as Chevron's authorization for WPX to apply for Garfield County Small Temporary Employee Housing and Individual Sewage Disposal System permits for the captioned drilling pad.
