RE: Underpinning (Piering) Project -Final Report
5201 CR346
Silt, CO 81652
The underpinning (piering) project has been completed utilizing the nine (9) push piers along the front
south wall and around the SE and SW corners.
The attached drawing "Final Elevation Survey" shows the final elevations at the main-level floor.
Comparison of the final elevations this date and the initial elevations on February 2, 2016, shows the
following :
• along front wall
initial ±1-1/2 11
final ±7/8 11
• along west wall
initial ±3-1/4"
final ±5/8"
• along east wall
initial ±2"
final ±3/4"
• along north wall
initial ±5/8"
final ±5/8"

Since piering was done only at the south wall and around the south comers, the largest difference is
noticed at the south half of the house. For example, the elevation difference along the west wall in the
master bedroom initially was 3", compared to post-lift elevation difference along this master bedroom
wall of 3/8". Similarly, in the living room the initial elevation difference along the east wall was 2" while
the post-lift elevation difference is just 1/8 11
• The final post-lift elevation difference along the south front
wall is 7/8", still being the lowest at the SW comer.
Additional lift may have been attained but a couple piers were starting to "max-out" and thus, it was
determined to stop the lift. It is very rare that structures can be made perfectly level, although that would
always be preferred.
The piered portion of the house is deemed to be stabilized. The push piers were installed in accordance
with the manufacturer's recommendations and specifications . The lift was accomplished in a proper
manner by personnel from Foundation Repair of Western Colorado (FRWC).
Please call me if you have any questions.
Respectfully submitted,
