I arrived on site at 10:30 · AM. I met with you to review project requirements and high strength bolting specifications. The pre- manufactured metal building fabricator for this project is SIS Corporation in Houston,. Texas, The steel· erector for this project is Redi Inc. in Grand Junction, Colorado. Visual re-inspection was conducted at the Roof Framing Plan level on the repairs to the Yz" & 518" ASTM A325 High Strength beam to column bolted connections. Project bolt tension requirements indicate "Turn-of -Nut" method as referenced in approved project drawings provided by SIS Corporation: Job No. 2317-01, File No. 2317-0lAl Rev. 1 dated 1117/07, Sheet A4 of 6: Framing Notes. As a minimum, 10% of all connections, but not less than two bolts per connection were inspected for proper bolt tension requirements and match marking techniques as stated in IBC requirements for periodic inspection: Table 1704.3, Item 2.b. Inspection was conducted at grid line A-B & 1-4. Bolted connections inspected were observed to be tensioned to project bolt tension requirements. It shall be noted thatone·m:rlumn·base·plate·· anchor bolt at grid line B & 1 was observed to be missing (Connection requires two on supplied drawings). You informed me that the installer hit reinforcing steel during drilling operations. Acceptance of this condition shall be the responsibility of the metal building fabricator: SIS Corporation in Houston, TX. Continued inspection shall be conducted at a later date.
