Phase 6 - Addendum 3 Engineering Design and Operation Plan
South Canyon Landfill

Dear Ms. Allen and Mr. Peterson:
American Environmental Consulting, LLC (AEC), on behalf of the City of Glenwood Springs
(City), is submitting this engineering design modification for the Phase 6 expansion to the South
Canyon Solid Waste Disposal Site (SCLF) located near the City of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
The facility concept is prepared to be in compliance with the municipal solid waste regulations
outlined in the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE); 6 CCR 1007-
2,Part l; Regulations Pertaining To Solid Waste Sites And Facilities. The modification expands
the disposal area of the landfill by approximately 6.91 acres and is designed using the same basic
criteria as the design for the Phase 5 area.
