HomeMy WebLinkAbout1.15 Impact analysis & Traffic StudySMITH_BUILT, INC 11. Impact Analysis We are requesting a waiver from the impact analysis. A call to the colorado parks and wildlife for info on wildlife habitat resulted in no feedback due to the limited scope of this project. The site was specifi cally chosen due to the fact that on the 54 Acre property the building site is right within the area of existing structures which minimizes impact on the rest of the property. There is also good road and utility access to the site. the site is surrounded by BLM land and some private rural and remote property making the impact relatively minor. The grasses and weeds (see subsoils report) in the area of construction disturbance will be re-vegetated at the end of construcvtion. We will minimize impact by using bear proof trash containers during and after construction. Per the Hp Geotech subsoils study (see attached) grading for the site is assumed to be relatively minor, with light foundation loadings for buildings, on slopes of between 5% & 15%. Construction indused slope instability appears low & per the 2007 Yeh associates report, identifi ed in the subsoils report, any impact from a debris fl ow appears low as well. 12. Traffi c Study We are also requesting a waiver from the traffi c study due to the limited scope of this proj- ect. we estimate the project will add 1-2 vehicles of traffi c on main elk creek a day on the high side and often it will create zero vehicle traffi c to the current average of 120 vehicles a day. The mother of Antonia Zurcher (Property owner) will be living in the new structre and she does not drive. the below graph was pulled from the County Road and Bridge Dept.
