Job No. 198 538
Subject: Potential Radiation Hazard, Proposed Residence, Lot A-2, Lough
Subdivision, A Subdivision of Parcel A of Colohan Exemption, County
Road 109, Garfield County, Colorado.
Dear Mr. And Mrs. Lough:
As requested by Ron Liston, we have reviewed our subsoil study conducted for the
subject development, report dated August 14, 1998, Job No. 198 538 with respect to
potential radiation hazard.
The near surface soils at the project site consist of fine to coarse grained debris fan
deposits which are expected to be relatively deep. We found no indications of natural
radioactive materials or mine tailings. Based on our observations we do not feel there is a
potential for hazards from radiation on the site. The potential for radon gas accumulation
in enclosed spaces should be considered in the residence design.
If you have any questions or require further assistance, please call our office.
Sincerely,
HEPWORTH-PAWLAK GEOTECHNICAL, INC.
