The push piers were installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and specifications. The lift was accomplished in a proper manner by personnel from Foundation Repair of Western Colorado (FRWC). The attached two drawings show the post -lift elevations and the amount of lift that was attained. The "Post -Lift Elevations" drawing can be used as a benchmark for future reference. Observation of the "Post -Lift Elevations" drawing indicates the low area of the house is in the kitchen along the wall adjacent to the garage. The kitchen floor is 7/8" low in relation to the high point near the walk -out sliding door at the rear wall. The lift was stopped along this common wall between the kitchen and the garage because further lifting would make the garage ceiling and the garage wall too much out of level. It also would likely expand a small crack that was beginning to start in the garage wall. It may be possible to adjust the girder beam beneath the kitchen floor to help stabilize the floor further. The elevation difference across the kitchen floor, front to back, is ±1/2". • Residential Structural Inspections • Foundation Design and Piering 64 White Peaks Lane page 2 July 21, 2016 FRWC will be installing the new girder beam support north of the existing girder beam. This beam will add support to the floor in the master bedroom and the living room. The beam supports will be adjusted to raise the floor in this area of the house comparable to the adjacent foundation elevations. Also, FRWC will be stabilizing the garage slab with PoIySTEEL foam injected into the void under the slab that was created by the garage foundation lift and the three slab piers that were installed through the slab around the corner of the laundry room. It is my understanding that FRWC will be injecting the foam and installing the girder beam today. Please call me if you have any questions.
