Mr. Dargo,
Thank you for your time and patience today regarding my building permit application. I certainly apologize for going
about this in this manner, but we will make certain to contact this office in the future for ANY changes we make here to
ensure compliance.
I've attached two pictures here, and will send an additional email with the others. We are on a satellite Internet
connection here, and it's difficult to send large files all at once.
I look forward to your assistance with fulfilling our requirements.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have additional questions, comments, or concerns — or simply need
more information.

I did manage to find a couple of shots taken during the demo of the chimney. If you wish, please call and I can explain
the details of how the old roof line worked, and any other questions that may arise.
The final picture is of the original chimney structure intact, prior to our discovery that there was a problem with the
foundation. This is rather old (note there is no large boulder wall, etc. ) but it at least shows the entire thing and how
the old roof hip/valley structure was behind it. That portion of the roof has been removed and replaced with a flat roof
and replacement steel panels. The new hip/valley is now over top of the covered portion or the replacement deck.
As we discussed in your office, you can now probably see how the original placement of the deck stairs was always a
problem in winter due to ice and snow sliding off the roof. That usually rendered the stairs inaccessible, and we also
could not use the front entrance due to ice/snow buildup on the upper part of the landing where the entry door is
located.
Tim
