We had our engineer (Lucy Hunter from Odisea Engineering) take a look at our plans and she has confirmed that there are no significant structural changes needed to accommodate this change. Attached is a Jetter from her. Do you require any further documentation or information for us to move forward with framing our walls this way? Holdown studs shall be (2) 2x6 rather than (2) 2x4 and the sill plate can be single 2x6 rather than 2x8 or double 2x4. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
