HomeMy WebLinkAbout1.0 ApplicationBEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GARFIELD COUNTY, COLORADO PETITION FOR EXEMPTION Pursuant to 1973 C.R.S. 30-28-101 (10) (d), as amended, the undersigned, THE SIEVERS RANCH AND DEVELOPMENT CO., a Colorado corporation, respectively petitions The Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, to exempt by resolution, from the definition of subdivision contained in the above -referenced statute, the following described parcel of land: A tract of land situate in Lots 1 and 6 of Section 13, Township 7 South, Range 89 West of the 6th Principal Meridian being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Section 13 whence the Northeast corner of said Section 13 bears N. 00°49'00" E. 817.28 feet; thence S. 00°49'00" W. 518.32 feet along said East line of Section 13; thence N. 62°43'30" W. 824.08 feet; thence N. 01°27'35" E. 515.47 feet; thence S. 62°43'30" E. 817.61 feet to the point of beginning; containing 8.74 acres more or less. Said exemption is requested for the reasons set forth herein: 1. The above described parcel is 8.74 acres of a much larger ranch owned by Petitioners. 2. Approval has heretofore been obtained by Petitioner from the Board to extract and process gravel on said 8.74 acres, and to locate a batch plant thereon. 3. Petitioner seeks this exemption solely for the purpose of leasing said parcel to an entity who will extract and process said gravel and operate said batch plant. WHEREFORE, applicant requests that the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado grant it an exemption to lease the above-described property for the purposes hereinabove set forth.
