Dirt Devil Excavating installed the system. The system installation included a 1250 -gallon, two-compartment concrete septic tank with an effluent filter (or screen) installed on the outlet tee of the septic tank. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. The sewer line from the house to the septic tank included a double -sweep clean out within 5 -feet of the house and a minimum 2% grade. A minimum 1% grade was maintained on the sewer line from the septic tank to the distribution box. The distribution box is accessible from grade. Flow equalizers were installed on the outlet of each pipe leaving the distribution box to assure equal flow to each trench. The STA consists of four trenches of 11 'ARC ADS' chambers for a total of 44 chambers and 660 square feet of infiltrative area. Trenches had a minimum of 6 -feet of undisturbed soil between them. Installation depth of the chambers were at least 2 -feet below native grade and did not exceed 4 -feet below native grade. Inspection ports were installed at both the beginning and end of each trench. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Sincerely, ALL SERVICE septic, LLC t! . Don't: • Pour cooking grease or oil down the sink or toilet. • Rinse coffee grounds into the sink. • Pour household chemicals down the sink or flush them. Do: • Eliminate or limit the use of a garbage disposal. • Properly dispose of coffee grounds a food. • Put grease in a container to harden before discarding in the trash. Don't: • Flush non -degradable products or chemicals, such as feminine hygiene products, condoms, dental floss, diapers, cigarette butts, cat litter, paper towels, pharmaceuticals. Do: • Dispose of these items in the trash can! Don't: • Park or drive on your drainfield. The weight can damage the drain lines. • Plant trees or shrubs too close to your drainfield, roots can grow into your system and clog it. Do: • Consult a septic service professional to advise you of the proper distance for planting trees and shrubs, depending on your septic tank location. Don't • Concentrate your water use by using your dishwasher, shower, washing machine, and toilet at the same time. All that extra water can really strain your septic system. Do: • Stagger the use of water -generating appliances. This can be helpful especially if your system has not been pumped in a long time. • Become more water efficient by fixing plumbing leaks and consider installing bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators and water -efficient products.
