Thanks David. I appreciate the thorough review.
This project was started over a year ago and was delayed until the owner received his financing.
So yes, I was using the 2015 IBC/IRC and the 115 mph for the Hudson project when we picked up the project again,
however I forgot to update my cover sheet and general notes. And yes, I personally prepared the PDF structural set for
Mr. Carlson. Let me update that and get you a new PDF set Monday.
Regarding the soil report, I'd rather you get that from the owner (618-0546) or HP Kumar (945-7988)

(West Elk Creek), I've got a couple of questions and/or clarifications which I'd like to ask for your
assistance:
• Reference Building Code — General notes reference the 2009 IRC, but Garfield County adopted
the 2015 IRC in July 2016. Can you please confirm whether your structural design complies with
the 2015 IRC requirements, including a revised wind speed of 115 mph Ultimate Speed?
• Soils Report — Drawings reference a soils report by HP -Kumar dated Jan. 17, 2017. Can your
provide us with a digital copy of this report for our records/file.
• Wet Stamp of Structural Drawings — Our Building Dept. typically requires wet -stamped
drawings, but we received a black & white copy version of your stamped drawings with this
submittal. In lieu of submitting wet stamped drawings, can you please verify by email that these
drawings were prepared under your supervision and authorization.
