Box 479 8711 County Road 300 Parachute, Colorado 81635 Dear Mr. Lyons, Certified P 522 552 857 As the result of an inspection of the above property, we have issued a "Stop Work" order on work in progress without building permits. A building permit is required for the deck that has been built at the second level of this dwelling_ Engineering drawings and approval by a Colorado registered Engineer will be required for the deck and the "Sunroom" that have been built as a structural addition to the modular home. The Sunroom has been structurally cut into the wall and roof of the modular and is supported by the deck, which now subjects the entire dwelling to Uniform Building Code standards. It appears as though the post supports for the deck were set on a concrete slab with no footings. That will have to be corrected and shown on Engineered drawings which must be submitted to this office with an application for a building permit. It appears that the previously "unfinished" basement has been finished into a dwelling unit, and adds another bedroom to the dwelling. A permit is required for that work. Engineering drawings, or plans must be submitted with a permit application for that also. The septic system for this dwelling was specified for a four bedroom home, based on floor plans submitted to us. It now has five bedrooms which mandates a larger engineered septic system, also to be specified and submitted to this office for a permit by an engineer. The Electrical Panel box has been installed in a manner that penetrates the garage fire resistive wall. That must be corrected per Uniform Building Code. No further work is permitted on this structure until permits have been issued after the engineering and approval process outline above.
