This will be your layout that they will have in hand for approvals. I would say if your going to build that shop, do it sooner than later so they don't forget that they have approved this. Glenn Hartman is the planner I am working through, he is a great guy and very reasonable. Glad to hear it is at least getting better. Sometimes all one can do is keep plugging. We will consider your e-mail as a request to void the building permit and will process the paperwork to refund the permit fee portion of the building permit fee of $482.15. Let us know if you want to pick up the plans and application we have to possibly resubmit sometime in the future. I had saved up the money and intended to build a detached garage on my property in Silt. Permit # BLRE-07-16-4339. My 3 year step daughter we struck by a car in Carbondale the beginning of August last year shortly after my permit was issued. We spent 5+ weeks in Denver at children's hospital while she underwent 9 surgeries. I would like to say we are 100% in the clear now but for the time being we have to see what her body will do until she is stops growing. Good news is what started out as an amputation of her right leg at the knee but turned into 9 surgeries and a functioning foot. But never the less the gentlemen that was driving the car that hit her is still in the system and this is going to trial. We are still continuing to receive medical bills and mores foreseeable attorney fees coming. I have to say at this time the monies I had built up and set aside to do this project are gone. I hope in the future (date unknown) I can try and build again. Reality is that could be years down the road baring no more problems. Life is unpredictable and the crystal ball is still in the shop getting fixed. So if there is any way that I could surrender my permit/ close out I would like to do that. Hopefully there is a chance I can recoup some of the monies already paid for the permit since the project never started? Look forward to hearing from you, please feel free to call me if that is easier. 1
