Dear Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen:
I have reviewed the floodplain status of the above captioned parcel as you requested. Based
on my interpretation, it appears that the majority of the parcel is located in the regulated
floodplain (Zone AO, see enclosed map). The AO designation means that the subject property
is subject to shallow (1-3 feet) sheet flow in storm events. Any development of this property
would require a Special Use Permit prior to the commencement of work.
