The permit may be extended by written request to the building official, showing that circumstances beyond your control have caused a delay. Permits that have been expired for 180 days or less may be renewed for one half of the original permit fee. Permits that have been expired for longer than 180 days require payment of a new full permit face. Please contact this office at your very earliest convenience, in writing, to advise about the status of your permitted work. If you have not responded within thirty days from the receipt of this notice the permit will be closed and a permanent notation will be placed in the property records at the County Assessors office that indicates that the work permitted was not inspected, is not approved and that the building or area may not be legally occupied.
