See note below from Colorado Structural (the E.O.R for project) indicating the splice to the column
is structurally sound and works in these locations.
Thanks

Subject: Re: Mine Drop retaining wall and column splice
Ben.
f'he column that has been spliced 10" has been spliced with the same material f'or the
additional 10". They have done a full penetration weld around the column. and also
added 20" long l/4" stiffener plates to two sides of the column. This rvorks structurallv.
The new'foundation wall that is going to be a 6'-0" tall wall will have a 36" looting ancl
will have half geo foam and half soil retaining. This will work with the same detail as the
building. Tlte new wall may be dowled into the existing building with #5 epoxy tlowels
Qyl6"o.c. with 4" embedment.
Please let me know if you need anytlring else.
T-hanks.
